I was very excited to try out this Beauty Bay palette as I have been ordering online from their website for years but have never actually bought anything from their own brand before. I decided to go for the Fiery palette as it looked like such a versatile palette and one that I would love to try out. Also it was different to any eyeshadow palettes I already own.

I love the verity of colours and also the amounts of shimmers and matt shades. I can't believe that it was just £23 for 42 different shades. Such great value for money! Taking this into consideration before I purchased the palette I wasn't too sure what the pigmentation and quality was going to be like. But thought I would give it a try anyway.

Having one palette with so many colours is also really handy, as being a makeup artist you don't want to be carry around too many palettes in your kit and can create so many different looks with just one palette.

Once I had received the palette I couldn't wait to give it a swatch on my arm. After swatching a few colours on my arm I couldn't wait to dive in a give it a try.

When first swatching the palette I loved the look of the bright shades but thought I would go for a more natural look to really see what I thought. I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised and the pigmentation of both the matt and shimmer shades was great!

I also really liked how little fall out there was when using the shimmers, making it much easier to use and a lot less messy. I used a small quite dense brush to apply the shimmers onto the lid and found this worked well. They seemed to be a true representation of the colour in the palette. My only negative would be that some colours didn't seem to blend out with each other and onto the lid as well as I had hoped.

As I had only used a few shades from the 42 colour the first time, I wanted to see what the brighter colours would be like too. So decided to create something a little different.

I stepped out of my comfort zone a little to create this look but ended up loving the outcome. I feel you could really go a little crazy and create a much brighter look than I did or even use the colours for a photographic shoot. But I wanted to create something more wearable and although bright, slightly more subtle. I found the brighter red shades lovely to work with. I really like how much you could pack on which really brought out the true colours. Although when packing on colour to the lids you are more likely to get a little fall down under the eyes. I almost always start with the eyes first to stop the fall out from affecting the base makeup. They also blended nicely into the skin and with the other shades.

I have really enjoyed using this palette and will defiantly be reaching for it more often. I would also still like to experiment a little more as there are so many colours I haven't used yet. I would say, overall what you get for the price is amazing and although its not the best eyeshadow palette its defiantly a great palette to have.
