My first time trying Prima lashes

I finally tried a new pair of lashes! I have used the same two brands of lashes now for such a long time it was time to try something new. I was having a look at the beauty section on ASOS and saw that they are now selling Prima lashes. I had heard so much about them recently so thought I would see what they were like. They had so many to choose from, ranging from a more natural lash to big dramatic ones too. I personally only wear lashes if I'm going out in the evening or if I'm feeling a bit fancy in the day, but I don’t like anything too heavy. After looking for a while I decided to try the style D14. They seemed to be in the middle, not too natural but not too dramatic.

I couldn’t wait to try them out and thought as I’m not going out in the evening any time soon I would just use them now.

When it comes to fake lashes I don’t like anything with a really heavy lash band. I have always found them really hard to work with and don’t like the feeling on my lash line. I thought that the Prima lash was quite thick when I originally opened my package, but after feeling the lashes in my hand I realised that it didn’t feel heavy at all. The actual lashes were so wispy and looked really light weight. I began to measure the lashes and cut them to fit my eyes. I applied a thin layer of Duo lash glue onto the lash band and left them to get tacky before applying to my eyes.

I thought it would only be fair to prep and wear the lashes how I normally would with any other lashes. I applied a thin layer of mascara to my lashes and a thin line of eyeliner to my top lash line.

When it was time to apply the lashes I used a pair of tweezers, as I just find this the easiest way. The lashes went on really well, much nicer than I had thought. I didn't have to move them around too much and once I had applied a little pressure on the inner corner I felt like they had stuck pretty well. I gave them a little squeeze with my natural lashes and felt they were good to go.

I have been using Duo lash glue for a few years now and haven't found a lash glue that is any better. It seems to keep your lashes on for hours!

After finishing my makeup I had completely forgotten that I actually had any lashes on. I couldn’t feel them on my lash line and the actual lash hairs are so soft and wispy I couldn't feel them on my eyelid at all, They were so long they even touched my brow bone but It didn't feel uncomfortable.

I really liked how they looked on my eyes and with the makeup I had done. I felt that they really opened up my eyes and made them seems slightly longer at the outer edge.

With other brands of lashes I have used they usually come with a little lash glue which I always find handy to chuck in your bag when going out in case of an emergency. The Prima lashes didn't come with one, which honestly wouldn't stop me from purchasing again as it wouldn't be the glue I would use to apply them anyway.

I bought mine on ASOS for £7.00 which I thought was reasonable for a pair of lashes. They are also available on the Prima lash website for the same price and also other beauty sites.

The packaging is simple but pretty and the lashes are well displayed inside. The plastic case is great for storing the lashes in between wearing them. As I have lost so many pairs of lashes just leaving them out.

I will definitely be trying more styles of Prima lashes as I am really impressed with the D14 so far. I will continue to wear them and see how they wear over time. I usually keep my strip lashes cleaned and well kept and try to get multiple uses out of them.
