My honest review on the Urban Decay Wired Eyeliners.

I have only recently purchased the Urban Decay Wired Eyeliner and thought they would be a great product to review after using it for the first few times.

I decided to pick two different colours (pink&blue) when purchasing these eyeliners as I wanted to compare the two, but also I wanted to create some looks that were a little more colourful and thought these would be perfect.
When I looked online all the colours were metallic, which I wasn't expecting. I would have liked to have a few brighter non metallic colours too, but thought I would still give these a go. However now I have used the eyeliners I believe that the metallic colouring didn't actually add anything worth while. Especially, the pink colour it would have been much nicer if it was just a regular pink shade and not metallic. By the time the top colour was applied you couldn't really see much pigmentation. Where as the blue seemed to show much nicer as metallic and had much more of a contrast on the skin. It would look nice on multiple skin tones too.

The black liner end of the pen has a very fine brush which means it makes it a lot easier to draw thin lines. I found this very helpful when using it on myself and clients. Although the brush was very thin and easy to use I did notice that after a few minutes of application the eyeliner began to dry out a little and clumped slightly on the end of the brush, making it much harder to use. I didn't have the brush end out of the pot for very long so feel it may have just dried quicker than normal eyeliners usually do.

Once the black liner has been applied you don't have to wait very long before applying the top coat colour. I found that applying the top coat of colour onto an already done eye was very tricky as the glitter base comes out as a white glitter and then turns into the chosen colour when on the black liner. This white glitter seems to fall out and go all over the place making it easy to ruin the work that has been done underneath. I did find that you could gently dust it off with a fluffy brush which helped but wasn't great, especially in pictures you can still see the glitter a little.
I really do like the concept of the eyeliners. I will defiantly continue to use the products and try them out in different ways and see which way is best.
